My research interest lies in geomorphological processes and landscape dynamics. A special focus is on sediment budgets and landform change as a reaction of environmental change with attention on mountain areas (European Alps, Andes). The methods I use include geomorphological mapping, geomorphometry, GIS analysis, shallow geophysics (refraction seismics, resistivity, ground penetrating radar) and sediment analysis.
